In 1998, Emmet co-founded iRise with a vision to dramatically accelerate digital software delivery by transforming how business and IT stakeholders communicate about requirements for custom and packaged business software. iRise invented the market for "Collaborative Visualization" and pioneered the adoption of software visualization with nearly 1,000 customers worldwide. As CEO and co-founder, Emmet applied his philosophy of "the network is the business" to become exceptionally well connected with a vast number of business and IT leaders across all industries and leveraged his network to drive revenue growth at iRise. Emmet currently serves as co-founder and board director at iRise and remains passionate about the importance of leveraging visualisation for design at the inception of digital products and services.
In 2005, Emmet founded the "Executive Roundtable Series" with a vision to deliver world-class thought leadership and networking opportunities to business and IT leaders at large global companies. The roundtables have been attended by thousands of C-level executives globally and the program initially leveraged motorsports as an agility paradigm and relationship building platform. Emmet brought the program with him to Insight and continues producing the Insight IGNITE Innovation Roundtable program with an emphasis on Digital transformation. He continues to pursue his passion for racing and is a co-owner of the Campos Racing team which competes for the FIA Formula 2 and FIA Formula 3 championships, among others.
He also serves a strategic advisor to large global companies that are interested in leveraging motorsports as a platform to elevate their digital products and services. Finally, Emmet is passionate about peace and sustainability and is the chief acceleration officer and co-founder of The Contentment Foundation, an organisation with a vision to educate one billion children globally on sustainable well-being and the power of inner peace. He is also a strategic advisor to Peace One Day, Impact Profile, a board trustee at the Royal Society Southeast Asia Rain Forest Research Programme (SEARRP), and a resident expert at the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford. He lives in London and enjoys his family, walking in Hyde Park with his Italian Spinone dogs, traveling, photography, skiing, driving Radical SR3's and playing the drums. Emmet finds humour in the fact that a close friend at Lego Group dropped his name in the hat which led to the selection of the name Emmet Brickowski as the lead character in the Lego movie series. Everything is awesome!
